History

Head Start was launched in 1965 as part of President Lyndon B. Johnson’s “War on Poverty.” It was designed to break the cycle of poverty by providing children from low-income families with a “head start” on their education. The program was developed by a panel of experts including pediatricians, psychologists, educators, and social workers.

Our Educational Philosophy

At The Promise Academy, we embrace John Dewey’s educational theories by fostering critical thinking and student-centered learning. Our hands-on approach encourages children to explore, design, and learn actively in a nurturing environment that supports their natural curiosity and development.
